  1. I'm trying to follow the biblical guidelines for eating and would love to have a cookbook with recipes to help me do so. My dh and children need good tasting food to help them make the switch.

I'm also subscribed to Pebble Crossing.

  2. I'm definitely getting healthier - next to 0 processed foods, 99% homemade (Stock, yogurt, etc.). Where I'm struggling is knowing how to conscientiously be healthy and be on guard against things that will compromise my health without making it feel like the most important thing in my life. I need to find more balance.

  7. Oh please enter me! I try to make recipes more healthy, but sometimes I need a little "nudge" to be more committed. I LOVE Hope Egan's book, "Holy Cow!" and I would love to win this cookbook!!

  8. Although I'm pretty far along in my food journey, I'd still like to become consistent making all our own condiments from scratch, and switching to raw butter and cheese (already drinking raw milk for years). What I really need is a cow or a couple of goats, but having a barn has been our hold up. Perhaps I should pray more about that!

  9. Carmen, I think my comment got lost in cyber space, but I put this on FB & Tweeted it, too.

  11. I saw this book a few weeks ago at a homeschool convention, also heard a speaker rave about it. I put it on my 'wish list' that day.
I feel as if I'm just beginning my food journey. Although, when I look around me or go to the grocery store I realize I'm a little further along than I think. We eat little to no packaged foods. Mostly all organics, shop at the local farmers market, been drinking raw milk for years. Love our water kefir, and homemade wheat bread, eat from our own home grown fruits and veggies....but there is still SO much more to learn. Recipes to help would be great to push me over another hump along the way especially going into the winter season!! Thanks so much for the giveway!!

  13. Hi! I found you through Amy @ Homestead Revival. Great blog. I love the "... Healthy Living" book, and would love a copy of the cookbook. We have been getting back to eating the way God intended, but are still struggling with the sugar! Arggghhh!

  14. I'm attempting to follow a traditional diet and torah lifestyle and my biggest problem is having enough energy to pull it off, since it does require more food prep/cooking than I'm used to. We have been eating far too much restaurant food. I am feeling way older than my 60 years and my body needs help. I'd love to have a copy of this book; have already read Holy Cow and I'm sure this one will also be a help for me. I live in a sort of brain fog and it's difficult for me to focus enough to get a meal together sometimes. Thank you for your generous offer, Carmen!

  18. Shalom,
My family keep the Biblical dietary laws already, this book looks fantastic!!!! We eat organicly, raw milk, only whole food, from scratch(mostly) we like to grow as much of our own food as we can in ou garden, and will be getting chickens after Sukkot. I am having a hard time with killing my sweet tooth! I probably need to do another candida cleansing diet(I found it to be difficult)

  21. I do ok most of the time. We cannot eat wheat. Cannot get raw dairy on a regular basis and I will not buy the stuff in the stores. Time is a big deal when you have to make food for 7. I wish I had more resources for organic food, and was better at growing my own. The weather around my area doesn't help - I need a green house! I struggle with sugar.

  25. I Love Rex Russel's book! (The one that inspired this cookbook) I read it and started distributing it over 10 years ago in our healthfood club, I am sure this cookbook is wonderful! The Father has provided us with such a wonderful guide to taking care of these vessels He created for us! I am looking forward to adding this book to my library even if I am not "drawn". :-) Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

  29. Where am I in my journey towards a healthy life? I am definitely not where I used to be. I use baking soda as a deodorant substitute and for cleaning tough jobs. I use vinegar, lavender oil and tea tree oil as my all purpose cleaner. I use baking soda and mint oil as my toothpaste. I eat mostly from scratch meals with the majority being fruits and vegetables. I'm still learning and improving but I've definitely come a long way.

  33. I am very excited about the chance to win this book! Personally, I have worked very hard to adopt a whole-foods lifestyle and do my best to eat foods in the way God created them. However, the area where I am still growing is in finding the balance--not allowing my desire to eat right become an idol.

  34. How fun and generous! I am much further than I was even last year, but I still have so much farther to go! I have some medical issues that keep me from reaching my goals 100% - but someday!
Thanks for sharing this giveaway with Two for Tuesdays!

  35. About my journey towards healthy eating....I know a lot about what I am supposed to be eating...I make an attempt to eat healthfully, we live on a college campus, and part of our pay is eating in the dining hall, so the food is not always the healthiest, probably where I need encouragement, is choosing healthily on a daily basis!

  36. Well our journey to healthier eating has been an up and down journey. It is our goal to keep the food in our house healthy. Our almost 5 year old is battling cancer and it is so hard to get food into him we have caved and given him some not so healthy food just to give him some calories. I am constantly looking for new ways of cooking things...by the way the garlic & ginger broccoli looks very good.

  37. I just subscribed...first time I saw your blog and it's looks interesting.

I've always beleived that food is a gift from God. Eat what you enjoy but beware of the fact that you are responsible for the neighborhood in which you live. Help it thrive. And grocery store selves are where man makes money. Man does NOT always have your best interest at heart. Your loving father does. Choose accordingly.

But my mouth still waters every time I pass a MickyD's. Sigh.

  38. We have made huge changes in the last year. We strive to eat following the Nourishing Traditions guidelines. We've even tried organ meats and fermented foods. Our biggest challenge is healthy desserts. We still like store-bought donuts, cookies, ice cream, etc. I know they are loaded with soybean oil and other nasties! I need to make healthy desserts and have some in the freezer as a back up.

  41. I'm too late for this, but my healing story is at http://healingplan.yolasite.com. I had a breast cancer tumor of 9mm, stage two and three cancer altogether. God healed me thru a plan of herbs and diet, colon cleansing included (celery/carrot juicing). I'm trying to stay organic but facing a dearth of finances, looking for work right now, and a place I can plant a natural garden. pray for me, ok? thanks much, and enjoy!!!
