Shabbat Shalom Link Up ~ His Ways are Perfect

Pebble Crossing

Shabbat is upon us once again.  YHVH is faithful and true to His promises.  We are so grateful for His day of rest that He has given us.  May we continue to pray for each other as we learn to rest and worship Yah in His ways. His ways are perfect, His ways are everlasting.
He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
Tehillim/Psalm 103:7

They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.
Tehellim/Psalm 119:3

A Song of degrees. Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD;
that walketh in his ways. Tehillim/Psalm 128:1

The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
Tehillim/Psalm 145:17

And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.  Isaiah 2:3

Shabbat Shalom Link Up ~ Let's Pray Let's Praise!

Pebble Crossing

Could it be that many more are turning to our Heavenly Creator being faced with such difficult situations and hardships?  Could it be that we are found more on our knees crying out to Him? It is obvious that this nation is faced with hard economic times, something that our parents and grandparents may have experienced but specifically not this generation.  If you are not currently faced with difficulties, you know someone who is.  In the midst of our trials and difficulties it is easy to loose sight of what provision we have been given.  Fear (not of God) will do that to you, it will make everything look worse than what it really is. If we are focusing on the world's standard's, we will feel like a failure.  Yes I understand that it may be hard at times to stay positive, I have experienced it.  After many years of struggling with my thoughts, Yah should me that we can control our thoughts, however hard sometimes it may be.  The enemy will continue to make us believe lies that our Creator is not there for us.  Staying in the Word reading scripture, living on it as our daily bread will help remind us how sovereign YHVH/God is true to His promises that He is there all the time and that he does not forsake us.  He will provide and continues to provide for our needs daily, yes many times He provides us with patience and gratefulness as we wait for answers, How great He is. Often times it is our lack of understanding that can cause us unrestfulness and stress as life may unravel in a totally different direction than we envisioned.  Our family refers to Romans 8:28 so often, it gives us comfort.  And we know that all matters work together for good to those who love Elohim, to those who are called according to His purpose. When we continue to place YHVH/God in the center of our lives, we are reminded that we are living for Him and not for ourselves.  Our perspective is renewed daily.   We are reminded that we want to be a living sacrifice for God, doing His will, His work.

May it be that we go to Him during times of trouble praying and praising YHVH/God for who He.  May we tell Him that we love Him so, that we love Yeshua for loving us first.  May we pray with faith not with doubt.

Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray,
and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
Tehillim/Psalm 55:17

Yah is my strength and song, and He has become my deliverance.
He is my Ěl, and I praise Him – Elohim of my father, and I exalt Him.
Sh'mot/Exodus 15:2

YHVH Loves you!

Shabbat Shalom Link Up ~ Let Go

Pebble Crossing

Shabbat Shalom to all of you! YHVH's/God's  day of rest is such a blessed day more than we can every realize.  YHVH is always thinking of us constantly.  He knew we needed this day.  A day of rest to worship Him for all that He has done for us and continues to do so.  Are you feeling weary and run down?  Here's a song for you 'Let Go' by Teshuva.   It's time to let go and give up the fight, He is waiting for you!

יהוה/LORD, who does sojourn in Your Tent?
Who does dwell in Your set-apart mountain?
He who walks blamelessly, And does righteousness,
And speaks the truth in his heart.
He has not slandered with his tongue,
He has not done evil to his neighbour,
Nor lifted up a reproach against his friend;
In whose eyes a reprobate one is despised,
But he esteems those who fear יהוה/the LORD;
He who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
He has not put out his silver at interest,
And has not taken a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these is never moved. Tehillim/Psalm 15

Shabbat Shalom Link Up ~ Let Us Praise Him!

Pebble Crossing

We are glad you have joined us for Shabbat Shalom.  This link-Up is a place to share, encourage, and to bless each of you during this day of Shabbat rest. May this song be a blessing to you and your family.  May we praise our Heavenly Father continuously.

Praise Yah! Praise יהוה/the LORD from the heavens, Praise Him in the heights!
Praise Him, all His messengers; Praise Him, all His hosts!
Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light!
 Praise Him, heavens of heavens, And you waters above the heavens!
Let them praise the Name of יהוה/the LORD, For He commanded and they were created.
And He established them forever and ever, He gave a law and they pass not beyond.
Praise יהוה/the LORD from the earth, You great sea creatures and all the depths,
Fire and hail, snow and clouds, Stormy wind that does His word,
The mountains and all hills, Fruit tree and all cedars,
Wild beasts and all cattle, Creeping creatures and flying birds,
Sovereigns of the earth and all peoples, Rulers and all judges of the earth,
Both young men and maidens, Old men and children.
Let them praise the Name of יהוה, For His Name alone is exalted,
His splendour is above the earth and heavens.
He also lifts up the horn of His people, The praise of all His kind ones;
Of the children of Yisra’ĕl, A people near to Him. Praise Yah!
Tehillim.Psalm 148

Shabbat Shalom Link Up ~ Remember Your Inheritance

We are glad you have joined us for Shabbat Shalom.  This link-Up is a place to share, encourage, and to bless each of you during this day of Shabbat rest. And we couldn't do this without you all sharing your personal links.Scroll down below.

The media often seems to focus on situations which may not end on a positive note. And after time if we continue to believe all that we hear, watch or read, our attitude will follow our outlook and mood. We will make decisions based on our negative outlook due to incorrect perceptions pressed upon man. We need to continue to persevere however hard and bleak things may seem and focus on our inheritance and the promises our Creator has given us and not on what man tells us to be true. May you increase your prayers in those moments.  Let us continue to focus on 'LIFE' and not death. Let us continue to do YHVH's will so that he may find us doing His work when His son Yeshua returns.

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together,
against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son;
this day have I begotten thee.
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance,
and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash
them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath
is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Tehillim/Psalm 2

Shabbat Shalom Link Up~I Have Taken Refuge

We are glad you have joined us for Shabbat Shalom.  This link-Up is a place to share, encourage, and to bless each of you during this day of Shabbat rest. And we couldn't do this without you all sharing your personal links.

In You, O יהוה/LORD, I have taken refuge; Let me never be ashamed.
In Your righteousness deliver and rescue me; Incline Your ear to me, and save me.
Be to me a rock to dwell in, To go into continually.
You have given the command to save me, For You are my rock and my stronghold.
Rescue me, O my Elohim/God, Out of the hand of the wrong,
Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel.
For You are my expectation, Master יהוה/GOD, my Trust from my youth.
Upon You I have leaned from my birth; You took me out of my mother’s womb.
My praise is continually of You.
I have become as a wonder to many, But You are my strong refuge.
My mouth is filled with Your praise, Your splendour, all the day.
Do not cast me off in the time of old age, When my strength fails, do not forsake me.
Saying, “Elohim/God has forsaken him;
Pursue and take him, for there is no one to deliver.”
O Elohim, do not be far from me; My Elohim.God, hasten to my help!
Let those who are adversaries of my life Be ashamed, consumed,
Let those who seek my evil Be covered with reproach and confusion.
But I continually wait, And shall praise You more and more.
My mouth recounts Your righteousness Your deliverance all the day,
Though I do not know their numbers.
I come in the might of the Master יהוה/GOD;
I make mention of Your righteousness, Yours alone.
Elohim/God, You have taught me from my youth;
And to this day I declare Your wonders.
And also when I am old and grey, O Elohim, do not forsake me,
Until I declare Your strength to a generation, Your might to all those who are to come.
For Your righteousness, O Elohim/God, is most high, You who have done great deeds.
O Elohim, who is like You?
You who have shown me great and evil distresses,
Revive me again and bring me up again
From the depths of the earth.
You increase my greatness, And comfort me on every side.
Also with the lyre I praise You For Your trustworthiness, O my Elohim!
I sing to You with the lyre, O Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl.
My lips shout for joy when I sing to You, Even my being, which You have redeemed.
My tongue, too, utters Your righteousness all day long;
For those who have been seeking my evil Have been put to shame,
Have become abashed.
Tehillim/Psalm 71

Shabbat Shalom Link Up ~ Let Me Hear Joy and Gladness

We are glad you have joined us for Shabbat Shalom.  This link-Up is a place to share, encourage, and to bless each of you during this day of Shabbat rest. And we couldn't do this without you all sharing your personal links.

Show me favour, O Elohim, According to Your kindness;
According to the greatness of Your compassion, Blot out my transgressions.
Wash me completely from my guilt, And cleanse me from my sin.
For I know my transgressions, And my sin is ever before me.
Against You, You alone, have I sinned, And done evil in Your eyes;
That You might be proven right in Your words; Be clear when You judge.
See, I was brought forth in crookedness, And in sin my mother conceived me.
See, You have desired truth in the inward parts,
And in the hidden part You make me know wisdom.
Cleanse me with hyssop, and I am clean; Wash me, and I am whiter than snow.
Let me hear joy and gladness, Let the bones You have crushed rejoice.
Hide Your face from my sins, And blot out all my crookednesses.
Create in me a clean heart, O Elohim, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Set-apart Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of Your deliverance, And uphold me, Noble Spirit!
Let me teach transgressors Your ways, So that sinners turn back to You.
Deliver me from blood-guilt, O Elohim, Elohim of my deliverance,
Let my tongue sing aloud of Your righteousness.
O יהוה, open my lips, And that my mouth declare Your praise.
For You do not desire slaughtering, or I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering.
 The slaughterings of Elohim are a broken spirit, A heart broken and crushed,
O Elohim, These You do not despise.
Do good in Your good pleasure to Tsiyon; Build the walls of Yerushalayim.
Then You would delight in slaughterings of righteousness,
In burnt offering and complete burnt offering;
Then young bulls would be offered on Your altar.

Shabbat Shalom Link Up ~ Wait for Elohim

As a deer longs for the water streams, So my being longs for You, O Elohim.
My being thirsts for Elohim, for the living Ěl.

When shall I enter in to appear before Elohim?
My tears have been my food day and night,
While they say to me all day, “Where is your Elohim?”
These I remember, and pour out my being within me.

For I used to pass along with the throng;
I went with them to the House of Elohim, With the voice of joy and praise,
A multitude keeping a festival!
Why are you depressed, O my being? And why are you restless within me?
Wait for Elohim: for I shall yet thank Him, For the deliverance of His face!
O my Elohim, my being is depressed within me;

Therefore I remember You from the land of the Yardĕn,
And from the heights of Ḥermon, From Mount Mitsʽar.
Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls;

All Your waves and breakers passed over me.
By day יהוה commands His kindness, And by night His song is with me;
A prayer to the Ěl of my life.
I say to Ěl my Rock, “Why have You forgotten me?
Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?”
My enemies have reproached me, Like a crushing of my bones,
While they say to me all day long, “Where is your Elohim?”
Why are you depressed, O my being? And why are you restless within me?
Wait for Elohim: for I shall yet thank Him, the deliverance of my face, And my Elohim. Tehillim/Psalm 42

Shabbat Shalom Link Up ~ Don't Slack Off

"Whatsoever ye shalt ask in My name, that will I do." John 14:13

Am I fulfilling this ministry of the interior? There is no snare or any danger of infatuation or pride in intercession, it is a hidden ministry that brings forth fruit whereby the Father is glorified. Am I allowing my spiritual life to be frittered away, or am I bringing it all to one centre - the Atonement of my Lord? Is Jesus Christ more and more dominating every interest in my life? If the one central point, the great exerting influence in my life is the Atonement of the Lord, then every phase of my life will bear fruit for Him.

I must take time to realize what is the central point of power. Do I give one minute out of sixty to concentrate upon it? "If ye abide in Me" - continue to act and think and work from that centre - "ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." Am I abiding? Am I taking time to abide? What is the greatest factor of power in my life? Is it work, service, sacrifice for others, or trying to work for God? The thing that ought to exert the greatest power in my life is the Atonement of the Lord. It is not the thing we spend the most time on that moulds us most; the greatest element is the thing that exerts most power. We must determine to be limited and concentrate our affinities.

"Whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do." The disciple who abides in Jesus is the will of God, and his apparently free choices are God's fore-ordained decrees. Mysterious? Logically contradictory and absurd? Yes, but a glorious truth to a saint.   (This daily devotional was written by  Oswald Chambers.  Another good site which includes Mr. Chambers' devotionals can be found here.)

Shabbat Shalom Link Up ~ Surrender

How I praise You, Lord and Savior that Your love got hold of me;
You have saved and cleansed and filled me that I might Your blessing be.

Emptied now of all my rights, surrendered them all to Your hand;
With no power but as You give me, to obey Your each command.

Just a servant full of blessing, to the thirsty hearts around;
Showing them God's full salvation, with His love they are unbound.

Yes, Your power truly saved me, freeing from the curse of sin
You Lord saved me to possess me, now in fullness, Lord, come in.

Yeshua, fill me with Your Spirit that I might Your abundance know;
So Your streams of living water from my inner self may flow.

Serving daily, blessed Master surrendered to Your wondrous power;
Flowing through me - Your can use me - every day and every hour!

Filled with the Spirit - Empty my rights to Him - You are filled.

Shabbat Shalom Link Up

Life has been somewhat of a whirlwind lately.  Much to do and only so many hours in the day to complete it.  As I work to meet the needs of my family, other priorities tend to get shifted down the list.  And that is ok.  We are here to please our Heavenly Father as we walk on the narrow path and learn to be righteous.  We am grateful that YHWH/God has given us day and night.  It forces us to take a break to rest.  We am grateful that YHWH/God has placed the Shabbat in place every 7th day.  An entire day of rest!  A perfect plan He has indeed. And so our family diligently work six days and rest on the 7th.  For us it is a time to rest, a time to study and and meditate on His word and be in His presence.  YHWH has given us this time each week to be able to focus and devote more time to building our relationship with Him.  We do not work, purchase or sell anything on Shabbat as we are convicted by scripture.  We find pleasure in the Sabbath.  The seventh day is not a burden but a blessing that we can count on every week.  It is a time of renewal in so many different ways.

Shemoth/Exodus 23:12
Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed. (KJV)

H7673
שׁבת
shâbath
shaw-bath'
A primitive root; to repose, that is, desist from exertion; used in many implied relations (causatively, figuratively or specifically): - (cause to, let, make to) cease, celebrate, cause (make) to fail, keep (sabbath), suffer to be lacking, leave, put away (down), (make to) rest, rid, still, take away.

Other scriptures regarding the seventh day show Strongs H7677 and H7676 will eventually refer back to H7673.

Shabbat Shalom Link Up~The Habit of Keeping a Clear Conscience

A Devotional from Oswald Chambers

. . . strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men. Acts 24:16

God’s commands to us are actually given to the life of His Son in us. Consequently, to our human nature in which God’s Son has been formed (see Galatians 4:19), His commands are difficult. But they become divinely easy once we obey.

Conscience is that ability within me that attaches itself to the highest standard I know, and then continually reminds me of what that standard demands that I do. It is the eye of the soul which looks out either toward God or toward what we regard as the highest standard. This explains why conscience is different in different people. If I am in the habit of continually holding God’s standard in front of me, my conscience will always direct me to God’s perfect law and indicate what I should do. The question is, will I obey? I have to make an effort to keep my conscience so sensitive that I can live without any offense toward anyone. I should be living in such perfect harmony with God’s Son that the spirit of my mind is being renewed through every circumstance of life, and that I may be able to quickly “prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:2 ; also see Ephesians 4:23).

God always instructs us down to the last detail. Is my ear sensitive enough to hear even the softest whisper of the Spirit, so that I know what I should do? “Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God . . .” (Ephesians 4:30). He does not speak with a voice like thunder— His voice is so gentle that it is easy for us to ignore. And the only thing that keeps our conscience sensitive to Him is the habit of being open to God on the inside. When you begin to debate, stop immediately. Don’t ask, “Why can’t I do this?” You are on the wrong track. There is no debating possible once your conscience speaks. Whatever it is— drop it, and see that you keep your inner vision clear.

Shabbat Shalom Link Up~Fear the LORD YHWH

We are glad you have joined us for Shabbat Shalom.  This link-Up is a place to share, encourage, and to bless each of you during this day of Shabbat rest. And we couldn't do this without you all sharing your personal links.

We are ending our bible study on "The Fear of the LORD" soon. We have been blessed by the path that this bible study has taken us, "into the depths of His arms". Knowing that He loves us so much, that He wants the absolute best for us, and remembering what his son YESHUA did for us, makes us understand in an even more intimate level that we don't want to do anything to hurt Him. We are constantly reminded that how we treat others, we are treating Yeshua the same.

for I was hungry and you gave Me no food, I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink,
I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, was naked and you did not clothe Me,
sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ “Then they also shall answer Him,
saying, ‘Master, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison,
and did not serve You?’ “Then He shall answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you,
in so far as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ Mattithyahu(Matthew)25:42-45

The only thing we should fear is the Fear of our YHWH! So often we don't realize that what we fear the most is what controls us. Why not fear our Creator let Him alone control us.

The fear of יהוה(the LORD) is the beginning of wisdom, All those doing them have a good understanding. His praise is standing forever. Tehillim(Psalm) 110:10

The fear of יהוה is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Set-apart One
is understanding Mishle(Proverbs) 9:10

Let us remember YHWH is our all, there is no other, there is none like Him.

And they shall be My people, and I shall be their Elohim. And I shall give them one heart and one way, to fear Me all the days, for the good of them and of their children after them. And I shall make an everlasting covenant with them, that I do not turn back from doing good to them. And I shall put My fear in their hearts so as not to turn aside from Me. And I shall rejoice over them to do good to them, and shall plant them in this land in truth, with all My heart and with all My being. Yirmeyah(Jerimiah)32:38-41

Falling in Love with Jesus Bible Study Series

We wanted to share with you about this wonderful bible studies series that we have been working through called "Falling in Love With Jesus / Yeshua" authored by Esher Shoshannah.  Including the Overview of the bible studies series, there are eleven lessons.

We started these studies a while ago and are working through them individually at our own pace.  Although we have been reading and studying scripture throughout our lives, revisiting basic topics can only deepen the foundation.  This series has increased my love for our Messiah and has given me an even greater understanding of His love for us.  As you'll see there are different topics, they can be done in any order as you feel it is needed.  If you are struggling about how to trust and have faith, or you are dealing with issues such as fear or still not understanding how to surrender, these studies may be of encouagement to you.

The following is a list of the studies you will find.
  • OVERVIEW of all "Falling in Love with Jesus/Yeshua" Lessons
  • Lesson 1: SALVATION: A New Path of Life
  • Lesson 2: THE CROSS: How Far Did GOD Go To Save Me?
  • Lesson 3: The CHARACTERISTICS OF A SPIRTUAL BABY Born Into God’s Family
  • Lesson 4: PRAISE: The Power and Pleasure of Praise
