Life has been somewhat of a whirlwind lately. Much to do and only so many hours in the day to complete it. As I work to meet the needs of my family, other priorities tend to get shifted down the list. And that is ok. We are here to please our Heavenly Father as we walk on the narrow path and learn to be righteous. We am grateful that YHWH/God has given us day and night. It forces us to take a break to rest. We am grateful that YHWH/God has placed the Shabbat in place every 7th day. An entire day of rest! A perfect plan He has indeed. And so our family diligently work six days and rest on the 7th. For us it is a time to rest, a time to study and and meditate on His word and be in His presence. YHWH has given us this time each week to be able to focus and devote more time to building our relationship with Him. We do not work, purchase or sell anything on Shabbat as we are convicted by scripture. We find pleasure in the Sabbath. The seventh day is not a burden but a blessing that we can count on every week. It is a time of renewal in so many different ways.
Shemoth/Exodus 23:12
Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed. (KJV)
