Shabbat Shalom ~ Link Up #13

We pray that your Shabbat will be a blessed one on this day of rest.  I wanted to let you know that as of next Wednesday, Pamela from Home Shalom will be hosting a "new" Preparation Day Link-up encouraging women to link up their Shabbat, menus, tips, preparation plans, lessons, reflections and encourage one another in many details of preparations involved with keeping the Shabbat set apart. This linky will be open for submissions every Wednesday morning until Friday at 3pm CST. This will be a wonderful opportunity to bless and encourage one another as Keepers of our Homes and our Faith. So whether you have things to add or hope to glean please do go visit Home Shalom starting Wednesdays, You will be able to link up until Friday 3pm CST.  This will also give families enough time to possibly TRY things suggested information in the link-up for the upcoming Shabbat.

We are excited to continue Shabbat Shalom Link-up.  We encourage you to continue to submit  scriptures, worship music, devotions, bible studies, encouragement articles on how to keep Shabbat set apart.

 To You, O יהוה/YHWH, I lift up my being.
 O my Elohim, in You I have put my trust; Let me not be ashamed;
Let not my enemies exult over me.
Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed;
Let those who are treacherous without cause be ashamed.
Show me Your ways, O יהוה/YHWH; Teach me Your paths.
 Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the Elohim of my deliverance;
On You I wait all the day.
Remember, O יהוה, Your compassion and Your kindnesses,

For they are from everlasting.
Do not remember the sins of my youth, and my transgressions; According to Your kindness remember me, For Your goodness’ sake, O יהוה.
Good and straight is יהוה; Therefore He teaches sinners in the way.
He guides the meek ones in right-ruling, And He teaches the meek ones His way.
All the paths of יהוה are kindness and truth,
To those who guard His covenant and His witnesses.
 For Your Name’s sake, O יהוה, You shall pardon my crookedness, though it is great.
Who, then, is the man that fears יהוה? He teaches him in the way he should choose.
His life dwells in good, And his seed inherits the earth.
The secret of יהוה is with those who fear Him,

And He makes His covenant known to them.
My eyes are ever toward יהוה, For He brings my feet out of the net.
 Turn Your face to me, and show me favour, For I am lonely and afflicted.
The distresses of my heart have enlarged; Oh, bring me out of my distresses!
 Look on my affliction and my toil, And forgive all my sins.
 See how many my enemies have become; And they hate me with a violent hatred.
Oh, guard my life, and deliver me; Let me not be ashamed,
for I have taken refuge in You.
Let integrity and straightness guard me, For I have waited for You.
Redeem Yisra’ĕl, O Elohim, Out of all his distresses!

Tehillim/Psalm 25

If you are new to observing Shabbat on the seventh day, I pray that the Ruach (Holy Spirit) will give you peace and lead your family.  We have been observing Shabbat for many years and we continue to be convicted as we take time to study His Word and become doers of His Word. If you are looking for more information on Sabbath and His appointed times, please email me here.

If you would like to also host and have Link Up on your Blog, please contact us.

  2. beautiful, Carmen! I loved reading the Psalm with the names of God inserted - it did bring more meaning to read Elohim and know that it refers to the plural (the Trinity)

    We are not Torah observant, but i love to hear about the roots of our faith, and we have done a lot of the feasts/festivals - there is so much richness and beauty in seeing the world as Jesus would have experienced it
