We are glad you have joined us for Shabbat Shalom. This link-Up is a place to share, encourage, and to bless each of you during this day of Shabbat rest. And we couldn't do this without you all sharing your personal links.
Hebrew translation for the phrase 'wait for'
H6960, קוה, qâvâh, kaw-vaw': A primitive root; to bind together (perhaps by twisting), that is, collect; (figuratively) to expect: - gather (together), look, patiently, tarry, wait (for, on, upon).
When I read that, it takes me aback knowing that when I wait for YHWH (God), I know that as I wait patiently, I am also being binded together with Him. What blessing to know He gives us strength in waiting. As you wait, He loves you so much, He is there beside you waiting with you, you are not alone! You could say we collect strength from Him as we wait upon YHWH (God). Blessed be your Holy Holy Name YHWH (God)!
Tehillim (Psalm) 130 says
Out of the depths I have cried to You, O יהוה.
O יהוה, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the voice of my prayers.
O Yah, if You should watch crookednesses, O יהוה, who would stand?
But with You there is forgiveness, That You might be feared.
I looked to יהוה, My being has looked, And for His word I have waited.
My being looks to יהוה More than those watching for morning, watching for morning.
O Yisra’ĕl, wait for יהוה; For with יהוה there is kindness. And with Him is much redemption,
For He shall redeem Yisra’ĕl From all his crookednesses.
Note: יהוה KJV uses LORD: Strongs H3068, yehôvâh, yeh-ho-vaw' From H1961; (the) self Existent or eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God: - Jehovah, the Lord. Compare H3050, H3069.
The Sons of Korah sing this Tehillim (Psalm) beautifully.
