No 'Poo Update, No Shampoo Method Ebook Review & GIVEAWAY!

NO 'POO UPDATE
It has been five months since we've been using the no shampoo method, I’m pleased to share that we have been blessed with great results. Our previous post can be read here.  When we first started the no ‘poo method, we were simply using baking soda and water for washing hair and conditioning with apple cider vinegar and water. Having to go through some adjusting is not uncommon when switching from shampoo to the no 'poo method.  And through this period, we have made some positive individual changes.

Papa and Mama: I am continuing to wash with baking soda and water and I've replaced Apple Cider Vinegar with an egg yolk. I love the results using the egg yolk!  Papa  is now considering trying the no poo method after hearing positive results.

Zachary and Leah: As our two teens continue to mature, their bodies are experiencing many changes, one of the changes is dealing with oily hair. Zachary, our 15 year old son continues to use the baking soda to wash his hair. He says it has cut down on dandruff. I will encourage Zach to try washing with an egg only as I hear it is good for curly hair. Leah our 14 year old is currently using baking soda and has recently started conditioning with an egg yolk along with some essential oil drops.

I am so happy that we have introduced this positive change in our lives.  We are using healthy products which  promote wellness.  As the saying goes, "if we shouldn't eat it, then we shouldn't be putting on our bodies."

NO SHAMPOO METHOD EBOOK REVIEW
I was grateful to have received a copy of  The No Shampoo Method ebook and I was totally awed by how well this it presents itself. The information gathered  is very well organized and well graphically designed in an easy to read format! I'm a very visual person and I was so impressed.  You will find basic information explained on the anatomy of hair along with washing basics, and the understanding of transition periods when switching to the no shampoo method. I really enjoyed reading the essential oil chart for different hair types. This book promotes getting back to basics and a healthy alternative using our Creator’s healthy foods for getting your hair clean. If you are looking for a much healthier and cheaper option to washing your hair, and are searching for information that will walk you through the steps to making your transition easier, then this may be the book for you. To be able to save time researching and finding all of this information in one place is extremely very beneficial.

Some of the topics covered in this ebook are:
  • What is Hair?
  • How Does this Method Work?
  • Washing Ingredients
  • Routine Ingredients
  • Testimonials from experienced users

The No Shampoo Method ebook is very user friendly. I have seen other “How-to”ebooks in the past and  this ebook is by far the best I’ve come across.

    4. I've been wondering if my hair would benefit from no-poo; I have finally stopped using hair color and it is getting lots of gray (or should I say, the gray is now showing more! ;) I hate using chemicals on my hair/body, and this would be a great way to start the process of using better ingredients on myself!

    8. I've tried the no poo method with the apple vinegar rinse but my hair would get so oily within a day, so I stopped. But I'm wondering if the e-book would have more info about this. I also would like to try this method with my two girls but am quite hesitant being they have very kinky-curly hair (they have African American in them), I'm not sure if it will be able to get to the scalp for a good scrub? Well, I'm hoping if I win that the e-book can answer some of these questions.

      Thanks for offering the e-book!

      Shalom

    13. Hmmm I really don't "like" the idea of giving up my shampoo but our family has a lot of allergies and can't use a LOT of shampoos. The ones we have found don't work that well and cost an arm and a leg. Also the fact that my hubby has been in and out of work the last couple of years and has no job right now. I think we all would give this a try.

    21. I have been using a shampoo bar that I buy online and is all natural but I am still struggling with dandruff and my hair just feels heavy and dirty and dry at the ends but greasy near the scalp. I would love this book to get more tips on these problems.

    22. We were living in third world country when I chose to go poo free. The only shampoos I could there were full of toxins and I didn't want those on my head. However, I never knew what to wash my hair with besides water and it was still oily a year later. When we came back here to the modern world, I starting up with the poo again.

We plan on going back to this other country and it would be wonderful to know how to take care of my long hair as well as my daughters. My daughter is two and she's never had soap or poo in her hair... well possibly poo but definitely no shampoo!!! I would like to know how to go poo free with the knowledge of how to rid myself of oily hair and dandruff.

      Thank you so much!

    27. I have a type of eczema. I've been no poo for a little over 6 months. I was doing great with baking soda and an acv rinse until winter struck and with it the super dry scalp! I'm hoping to find a natural way to correct my problem.
