New Song ~ Prayer for Japan / Japan Relief

Our son Zachary who is regularly inspired to compose music is currently preparing to record his first solo piano CD sometime late summer early fall as YHWH/God leads him.

In March of this year a tsunami swept through parts of Japan. Earthquakes then followed which left many homeless. As we know many lives were lost. Zachary was inspired to help these people who are living through the side effects of the earthquakes and the tsunami. His heart has been stirred. He was led to express his heartfelt concern at the piano. The Ruach HaKodesh/Holy Spirit moved him to use his composition to help Japan. His song “A Prayer for Japan” is currently being offered with a donation to Japan Relief.

Won’t you please visit his blog Zachary Bruno Music to read more about how YHWH/God moved his soul. You can also hear a preview of this precious piece of music there. Once your donation is received, Zachary will email you his song “A Prayer for Japan”. We thank you for your support as you feel led.

Blessings and Shalom ~ The Brunos

Book Review: Children's Trilogy

Hello everyone!

Today I have the pleasure of sharing about a recently published children's book written by my friend, Rachel Clausman. Rachel is a Torah observant believer in Yeshua and home school graduate who strives to glorify YHVH with her writing. This is Rachel's first published book (but her second book is on its way!).

It is comprised of three stories and numerous color illustrations by Sandy Mason. The three stories are called “Miriam, Come Sit”, “Phineas, the Talker”, and “Who Made the World?”. I have had the privilege of reading all of them myself, and found each to be valuable stories which can provide children with wisdom for their walk with Yeshua and YHVH, and keep them interested at the same time.

Miriam, Come Sit” tells the story of a little foster child named Miriam who learns about Pesach (Passover), one of YHVH's set apart times, and it's spiritual and physical meaning. It helps to teach children the significance of Yeshua in the Passover, and how He leads us sinners out of the bondage of sin.

Phineas, the Talker” demonstrates that "pride comes before the fall" and that our actions speak louder than our words. It's interesting to note that even a children's book like this can be enjoyed and applied by older children and even adults!

Who Made the World? shares the creation story in a simple way for children to understand it. It also highlights the importance of the Shabbat rest which YHVH ordained.

By publishing these stories, Rachel hopes to inspire young children in their walk with YHVH and Yeshua, but people of any age can read and be blessed by them!

I would encourage you to pray about including this book in your home library!
This book is hardback with 84 pages and is available for purchase here.

Blessings and I hope you enjoy ~ Leah

Fear the LORD ~ Psalms 128

Fear the LORD YHWH

Blessed are all who fear יהוה(the LORD), Who walk in His ways.
You shall eat the labour of your hands. Be blessed, and let it be well with you.
Let your wife be As a fruit-bearing vine within your house, Your sons like olive plants all around your table.
Look, so shall the man be blessed Who fears  יהוה.
יהוה (the LORD) shall bless you out of Tsiyon, And let you see the good of Yerushalayim
All the days of your life,
And let you see your children’s children! Peace be upon Yisra’ĕl!
Tehellim(Psalm) 128

May we all be blessed as we learn to humble ourselves by our Creator's great awesomeness!

Shabbat Shalom Link Up

We are glad you have joined us for Shabbat Shalom.  This link-Up is a place to share, encourage, and to bless each of you during this day of Shabbat rest. And we couldn't do this without you all sharing your personal links.

With much upheaval the world is currently experiencing, I feel there is much prayer going up to YHWH(God). Some people are faced with more heart ache and tragedy than others.  It can sometimes be difficult to fully comprehend the full spectrum of the situation and sympathize when we are not faced with the same trials as others.  And at times the only thing we can do is pray.

Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud:
and he shall hear my voice. Psalm 55:17 (The Scriptures)

This 2 part video called The Power of Prayer by Jim Staley explains about the power of prayer and that there is power in prayer when we pray HIS way.

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another,
so that you are healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous one accomplishes much.
James 5:16 (The Scriptures)

Shabbat Shalom Link Up

We are glad you have joined us for Shabbat Shalom.  This link up is a place to share, encourage, and to bless each of you during this day of Shabbat rest. And we couldn't do this without you all sharing your personal links.

We want to thank you each and everyone of you for taking part in this link up.  Please know that we are so very blessed as well.  Although we may not respond to everyone that links up, your links are read.  Thank you for your encouraging words, for the special songs that you've chosen, for the words of Elohim(God) that are spoken.  We are so comforted.  And we want to thank you YHWH for giving us your Shabbat day of rest and for giving it to us every seven days.  You know what is best for us.  We serve an Awesome Amighty Creator.  Thank you for giving us your Son as our perfect example to follow.  May we continue to be your devoted servant always.

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise
with thesame mind:for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
That he no longer should livethe rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men,
but tothe will of God.For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought
the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine,
revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:Wherein they think it strange that
ye run not withthem to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: Who shall give
account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. For this cause was the
gospel preached also tothem that are dead, that they might be judged according to
men in the flesh, but live accordingto God in the spirit. But the end of all things is
at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch untoprayer. And above all things have
ferventcharity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
Use hospitality one to another without grudging. As every man hath received
the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold
grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man
minister, let him doit as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may
be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever.
Amen.Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you,
as though some strange thing happened unto you:But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are
partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad
also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for
thespirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but
on your part he is glorified. But let none of you sufferas a murderer, or as a thief, or
as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on
this behalf. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if
it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of
their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. 1 Peter 1:19

Shabbat Shalom Link Up

Tilling and Planting

As the season of Pesach(Passover) approaches, we meditate on cleansing from sin, removing leaven (pride) from our spiritual and physical houses. We ask YHWH יהוה (God) to cleanse us from our sin. In Isaiah 28, after YHWH יהוה(God) warned of the judgment He had decided to bring to pass on the earth, he says this:

23 Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.
24 Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground?
25 When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rie in their place?
26 For his el-o-heem' (God) doth instruct him to discretion, [and] doth teach him.
27 For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod.
28 Bread [corn] is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break [it with] the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it [with] his horsemen.
29 This also cometh forth from YHVH (the LORD) of hosts, [which] is wonderful in counsel, [and] excellent in working. Isaiah 28:23-29 KJV

Last year, when I had called my uncle on the phone and confessed some things to him, he told me that YHWH (God) was tilling my heart. Thus, when YHWH (God) works with our conscience, and the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) moves us to repent of our sins and apologize to others, He is doing a work in us, plowing our hearts for the crop He will plant.

Shabbat Shalom Link Up

We are excited that you are visiting us here at Shabbat Shalom Link-up. We pray that your Shabbat will be a blessed one on His day of rest. I've always loved the music of Sons of Korah since they sing the Psalms pure and simple. What makes them more interesting is that if you memorized the song, you have memorized a Psalm.

I recently read Dakota's post over at A Look at Life From a Deerstand, and it was interesting what he said.

Anyway, one night I sat down to read the first devotional in A Call to Die and my safe-haven of excuses began to slowly crumble. He wrote,
“I hear people whine, “I can’t memorize verses from the Bible. It’s too hard!” That’s ridiculous. These same people know every song on their favorite CD, and I know a couple of guys who can recite the entire dialogue from The Three Amigos word for word! The first thing I want you to realize is: yes, you can memorize verses from the Bible!”

We should be in the word and love it enough to take the time to memorize the scripture. Not only do we have it kept in our hearts, but we can remember and refer to it whenever we are in trials in which we question what Yahweh actually said.

Enjoy the song!
- Zachary

Shabbat Shalom Link-Up

We are excited that you are visiting us here at Shabbat Shalom Link-up. We pray that your Shabbat will be a blessed one on His day of rest.

As you all probably know, the Psalms are full of songs to Yahweh. Yet we rarely ever imagine the majority or even all of them being set to music. It's obvious that throughout scripture, Yahweh loves music and praise sung and played for His glory. Let us all remember Psalms 28:7 this Shabbat and praise our Father who is worthy to be praised. Amein!

Shabbat Shalom Link Up!

Joy cometh in the morning...

We are excited that you are visiting us here at Shabbat Shalom Link-up. We pray that your Shabbat will be a blessed one on His day of rest.

Here are a few verses which I have found especially comforting lately, as if יהוה spoke them for me, and he has!  I hope they encourage you as well.  If you would like to read the whole chapter, please click on the links of the verse.

Psalms 30:5
For his anger [endureth but] a moment; in his favour [is] life: weeping may endure for night, but joy [cometh] in the morning.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the יהוה, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Shabbat Shalom Link-Up #24

We are excited that you are visiting us  here at Shabbat Shalom Link-up.  We pray that your Shabbat will be a  blessed one on His day of rest.

Quite a while ago, I owned a computer game called "Civilization". I sold it probably about a year ago, but the theme song is still stuck in my head. Partly curiosity and partly my conscious told me to look up what it actually was saying since the song was being sung in another language. To my surprise, it turns out that it's "The Lord's Prayer" in Swahili. The song is called Baba Yetu, or "Our Father". Enjoy!

And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
Luke 11:1-4

Shabbat Shalom Link Up # 22

We are excited that you are visiting us here at Shabbat Shalom Link-up. We pray that your Shabbat will be a blessed one on His day of rest.

This blessing which was spoken first by the LORD-YHWH is very precious to us and I pray that it would speak life to you as well on this Shabbat.

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying,
On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them,
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee,
and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee,
and give thee peace. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel;
and I will bless them.
Bemidbar/Numbers 6:22-27
