It's worth the extra effort if you are trying to make sandwich bread.
Often my bread has large air pockets after the first rise.Henny Pennyhttp://kidandkid.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3526513619579964714.post-43494886008561607722010-11-05T08:19:38.101-05:002010-11-05T08:19:38.101-05:00I suppose you could always designate that your &qu...I suppose you could always designate that your "Toad in the Hole" bread with an egg in the middle. :) I always have either too wet or too flat bread when it flops, which is pretty much only useful as breadcrumbs.Erinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3526513619579964714.post-29252178971196042572010-11-05T05:41:33.840-05:002010-11-05T05:41:33.840-05:00That bread is just begging to be made into THIS: ...That bread is just begging to be made into THIS:

http://simplyhomemaking60.blogspot.com/2010/04/egg-holes.html

:)Yolandahttp://www.simplyhomemaking60.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3526513619579964714.post-49731292781987943542010-11-03T16:59:52.909-05:002010-11-03T16:59:52.909-05:00That has happened to me, too, but I have no idea w...That has happened to me, too, but I have no idea why! :(I Live in an Antbedhttp://www.iliveinanantbed.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3526513619579964714.post-42590340402348848552010-11-03T16:10:45.279-05:002010-11-03T16:10:45.279-05:00Shalom Carmen,

The kinds of things I have had happen to my bread are~ really dense loaves, that I lovingly refer to as "bread bricks"(so non edible). I have also had bread rise too fast and fall, and I am left with a very silly looking flat loaf(usually the first loaf of summer)! It is always a good thing to laugh it off!! And great to be able to learn from it, good for you! I hope you get some answers!!!
Shalom,
MoiraMoirahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14552392538483187179noreply@blogger.com
